BYU Football Lands Commitment From Oregon Transfer WR

PROVO, Utah – BYU football has landed its first transfer portal commitment in the 2026 cycle.

Former Oregon Ducks wide receiver Kyler Kasper is transferring to BYU.

Kasper is a 6-foot-6, 210-pound receiver originally from Chandler, Arizona.

Coming out of Williams Fields High School in the 2022 cycle, Kasper was a four-star prospect and the No. 150 overall prospect in the country.

During his four years at Oregon, Kasper has recorded only six catches for 77 yards.

Over the past two seasons, Kasper has dealt with foot injuries that have prevented him from being on the field with the Ducks. Those injuries, however, have allowed him to obtain a medical redshirt, giving him two more years of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career.

Kasper joins a BYU wide receiver unit that loses Chase Roberts, who departs as one of the program’s all-time leading receivers in receiving yards.

However, BYU retained Parker Kingston, the Cougars’ leading receiver in 2025.

BYU also retained star quarterback Bear Bachmeier, who announced that he would be returning next year.

On3 ranks Kasper as the 190th-ranked wide receiver in the 2026 transfer portal class.

Kasper is the son of former Iowa and NFL wide receiver Kevin Kasper, who played in the league from 2001 to 2008. He’s also the older brother of Braylon Kasper, a 2027 wide receiver recruit, whom BYU has offered.

BYU football finished the 2025 season with a 12-2 record, capped off by a Pop-Tarts Bowl victory over Georgia Tech. The Cougars have won 23 games over the past two seasons, the most in the Big 12 since the 16-team league came together in 2024.
