Report: Arizona State QB Jayden Daniels Expected To Enter Transfer Portal

SALT LAKE CITY – Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to SunDevilSource.com.
Two sources with knowledge of Daniels’ plans reportedly told the 247Sports outlet on Thursday, February 17.
SunDevilSource.com reported that “Daniels has informed multiple ASU coaches and others of his decision.”
Arizona State football has been involved in investigations regarding allegations of NCAA violations since 2021.
People close to Daniels have been in contact with other Power 5 schools, inluding Pac-12 team, in recent weeks to gauge their interest.
The process of Daniels being added to the transfer portal is underway and will be complete today unless he changes his mind.

Prior to his college career, Daniels was a four-star prospect and No. 35 player in the nation for the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.
He held offers from Arizona State, California, UCLA, Utah, Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, LSU, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, and Vanderbilt.
Daniels has played quarterback for the Sun Devils since 2019. He’s been Arizona State’s starting quarterback since his freshman season in Tempe.
During his time with the Sun Devils, Daniels has thrown for 6,025 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions with a 62 percent completion rate.

In addition to throwing the ball, Daniels has run the ball 296 times for 1,288 yards and 13 touchdowns in three seasons.
Last season, Daniels helped the Sun Devils to an 8-5 record and a second place finish in the Pac-12 South.
During his time with ASU, the Sun Devils have an overall record of 18-12.
Arizona State opens its 2022 schedule against Northern Arizona on September 1. The Sun Devils host the Utah Utes on September 24.
