BYU football offers former Clemson safety commit

PROVO, Utah – BYU football jumped into the mix for a former commit to the Clemson Tigers.

Seth Williams, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound safety from Atlanta, Georgia, received an offer from BYU.

Williams committed to Clemson last month, then two weeks later, he de-committed from the Tigers. Shortly after, revealed the “Top six” schools in his recruitment, but that didn’t stop BYU and other programs from extending offers.

“After a great conversation with [Lewis Walker], I’m blessed to receive an offer from The Brigham Young University,” Williams wrote on X.

Along with an offer from BYU, Williams also received recent offers from Florida State and reigning National Champion Indiana.

Williams preps at Lakeside High School in Atlanta. He’s currently rated as the No. 95 overall prospect in the state of Georgia for the class of 2027 by the 247Sports Composite. Williams has two official visits scheduled with Clemson on May 29 and Florida on June 11.

Williams had 73 tackles and one interception last season for Lakeside.

BYU cornerbacks coach pays an in-home visit to Zyaire Patrick

First-year BYU cornerback coach Lewis Walker is putting in work in The Peach State. Along with offering Williams, Walker had an in-home visit with cornerback/safety Zyaire Patrick from Stockbridge High School in Georgia.

BYU is the only Power 4 program that has offered Patrick so far. They extended an offer to the 6-foot-1, 165-pound defensive back in the class of 2027 earlier this month.
