BYU Men’s Basketball Game Against San Diego Postponed Due To COVID-19

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU announced that its upcoming men’s basketball game against the San Diego Toreros has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
The Cougars and Toreros were slated to play on Saturday, January 2.
”Due to a COVID-19 related concern within the San Diego program, tomorrow’s game against San Diego has been postponed,” BYU basketball tweeted on January 1.

The postponed contest is the second for the Cougars this season. BYU was scheduled to open its West Coast Conference schedule against the Pepperdine Waves on December 31.

Due to coronavirus concerns in the Waves’ program, that game was postponed as well.
BYU wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule last week with a 9-2 record. The Cougars are currently receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25.
The Cougars’ next scheduled game is against Pacific on January 7.
