BYU Football Takes First Lead On Late Third Quarter Touchdown

BOULDER, Colorado – The BYU Cougars haven’t played their best football against the Colorado Buffaloes, but that hasn’t prevented them from keeping the game close.
Trailing 14-10, Bear Bachmeier spearheaded a touchdown drive that gave the Cougars their first lead of the evening.

The Cougars pieced together a nine-play, 74-yard possession that was aided by Colorado’s third pass interference penalty of the night.
On 4th-and-Goal from the two, Bachmeier fired a dart to a wide-open Chase Roberts to take a 17-14 lead midway through the third quarter.
The trust in Bear Bachmeier was on display as BYU went for it on 4th down.
Bear connects with Chase Roberts for the touchdown.
Cougs are in front for the first time tonight.

The Cougars fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter, trailing for the first time this season.
After a slow start, Bachmeier and the offense have picked up steam while the defense found its stride against Buffalo QB Kaidon Salter.
Roberts has four catches for 33 yards and two touchdowns. He now has three TDs in 2025.
The touchdown also gave Roberts 2,000 yards receiving in his BYU career. He is the 15th player in program history to reach that mark.
