PROVO, Utah – Will Ferrin is a special teams luxury for BYU, giving the Cougars one of college football’s most accomplished kickers in some of the game’s most pressure-packed moments.
The BYU Cougars began the 2025 season by hosting the Portland State Vikings at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, August 30.

Ferrin’s second field goal of the night gave BYU a 55-0 lead over Portland State.
It was the fifth field goal of Ferrin’s career from 50+ yards. His previous career high was 54 yards, set twice in 2024.
Owen Pochman connected on a 56-yarder against New Mexico in 2000.
