Every Touchdown From Utah Football’s Season-Ending Win Over Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Utah football ended its season strong with a 31-21 win over the Kansas Jayhawks in week 14.
The victory wasn’t entirely smooth sailing. It took a 21-point fourth quarter to secure win number 10 on the season.
Let’s take a look back at every Utes touchdown against the Jayhawks.

Utah Football Drops 31 In Win Over Kansas
The first quarter saw Utah start building momentum with an interception and a field goal. No trips to the end zone, and the opening frame ended with a 3-0 lead.
Kansas opened scoring in the second quarter with a TD to take a 7-3 lead.
The Utes responded with a Devon Dampier to JJ Buchanan connection to go back up by three.

That 10-7 score line would hold through halftime.
To start the second half, Utah turned the ball over on downs and the Jayhawks took advantage with their second touchdown.
Trailing 14-10 to start the fourth, Dampier threw another TD. This time, Larry Simmons hauled it in near the left pylon.

The fourth quarter avalanche was just getting started.
On the following drive, Elijah “Scooby” Davis picked off Kansas in the red zone and returned it almost the length of the field to put Utah up 24-14.

The Jayhawks closed the gap down to three once again with about five minutes left in regulation.
Utah football would then put the nail in the coffin with another Dampier to Simmons connection about three minutes later.
This was the final score of the game, and Utah went on to win 31-21.

Utah Football Ends Regular Season On Road In Kansas
The No. 13 Utah football team closes out the regular season on the road against the Kansas Jayhawks today.
After a narrow win over Kansas State last weekend, the Utes enter at 9-2 overall and 6-2 in Big 12 Conference play. Meanwhile, the Jayhawks are 5-6 overall, 3-5 in conference, and have lost two straight.
Utah and Kansas have met four times on the gridiron in the programs’ history. The all-time series is tied up at 2-2.
