Utah Football Piles It On With Fourth-Quarter Dallen Bentley Touchdown

PASADENA, Calif. – Utah football appeared to put any UCLA hopes for a comeback to rest with a fourth-quarter touchdown connection between Devon Dampier and Dallen Bentley.
Already leading 30-10, Dampier threw his second touchdown of the game to tack on six more in the Rose Bowl.

Bentley was one of Dampier’s top targets in game one. He had five receptions for 31 yards and the fourth-quarter touchdown.
On top of being the Utes’ leading rusher with 16 carries for 87 yards, Dampier connected on 21 of his 25 pass attempts for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
All in all, the Utah offense was extremely impressive. At that point in the game, they had 427 total yards and were 12/15 on third downs.
If the Bentley TD wasn’t the nail in the coffin, the ensuing Trey Reynolds interception definitely was.
Utah Football Looks To Start Strong Against UCLA
Utah football opens its 2025 season in the Rose Bowl against the Big Ten’s UCLA Bruins today.
With a new offensive coordinator, a new quarterback, and several key returners on the offensive line and defense, the Utes aim to bounce back from a disappointing inaugural Big 12 season.
Their first opponent: former Pac-12 rival UCLA. This will be the first non-conference meeting between these schools since 2007. The Utes are 6-1 in their last 7 meetings with the Bruins. This includes three wins in their last four trips to the Rose Bowl.
