MOBILE, Ala. – One former NFL general manager thinks that former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love has a “high upside” but would benefit from being selected after the first round of the NFL draft.

Love is currently participating in drills in front of NFL scouts and coaches at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

“In a perfect world… you’re not taking this guy in the first round so you don’t have to play him right away,” said former NFL executive Mike Tannenbaum.

The Senior Bowl is an event featuring college football seniors and early entrants of the NFL Draft.

Now a draft analyst for ESPN, Tannenbaum previously served as general manager for the New York Jets and executive vice president of football operations for the Miami Dolphins.

“When you line it up this week against Shea Patterson (Michigan quarterback) clearly Jordan Love’s the better player, the guy with the higher upside,” Tannebaum continued.

During the first two days of Senior Bowl activities, Love was among the top performers.

“What you see from Jordan down here is just how athletic he is, out on the perimeter, he looks real good.” said former NFL player and executive Louis Riddick.

ESPN NFL Draft and college football analyst Todd McShay spoke about Love’s raw abilities but highlighted the setbacks he suffered during his junior season.

“He’s a tough evaluation cause that LSU tape we’ve talked about, not really good at all but they were overmatched. His past season, not great,” said McShay. “His numbers aren’t great but you look at what he brings physically, and what you can work with, and how you can mold him, and there’s a lot of intrigue.”

“You know at the time you wish it was just the LSU game ya know Boise, BYU, any of those opportunities” added Tannenbaum.

As former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love showcases his skills at the Senior Bowl, discussions about his potential in the NFL continue to heat up. Love’s journey reflects the broader theme of anticipation and excitement in various fields, including the film industry. For instance, the upcoming horror films set to be released in 2023 have generated significant buzz among fans, eager to see what new thrills await them. Just as Love is working to solidify his draft stock and prove his capabilities, filmmakers are also preparing to captivate audiences with their latest creations, highlighting the universal quest for excellence and engagement in both sports and entertainment.

Love will look to improve and solidify his draft stock as he participates in the Reese’s Senior Bowl game on Saturday, January 25 at 12:30 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on NFL Network.
