LOGAN, Utah – The Mountain West Conference and Utah State University announced the Aggies 2019 football schedule.

The Aggies will face a team from the ACC, SEC, BYU and an FCS squad in their non-conference schedule and will square off with the defending conference champions.

Utah State will play six games at home and six games on the road.

It will be their first season with Gary Andersen back as the head coach of the Aggies, who replaced Matt Wells when he took the head coaching job at Texas Tech.

They will have two bye weeks during the season, the first one on September 14 and the other on October 12.

August 31, at Wake Forest

The Aggies will begin their season on the road against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons from the ACC. It will be just the third meeting between the two schools with each picking up one win. They last met in 2017 with Wake Forest winning 46-10.

September 7, vs. Stony Brook

Utah State will face FCS opponent Stony Brook, who will play each other for the first time ever in the Aggies home opener.

September 21, at San Diego State

The Aggies have beaten the Aztecs just once in their 13 meetings. They last played in 2016 with SDSU picking up a 40-13 win.

September 28, vs. Colorado State

A long history between the Rams and Aggies will be renewed in 2019 at Maverik Stadium. Utah State beat CSU 29-24 in Fort Collins on a crazy ending that was in the hands of the officials. Colorado State leads the series 39-34-2.

October 5, at LSU

The Aggies will head to SEC country and face the LSU Tigers for just the third time in program history. LSU has won both games with the last meeting in 2001, the Tigers won the game 31-14.

October 19, vs. Nevada

Another team that Utah State has struggled with. Nevada is 18-6 all-time, including a 38-37 win in 2016, the last time they met.

October 26, at Air Force

The Aggies beat the Falcons 42-32 in Logan this past season but trail the season series 4-3.

November 2, vs. BYU

Utah State will host their in-state rival, BYU on Friday night in Logan. The Aggies have won the last two meetings against the Cougars, including a 45-20 victory in Provo this past season. BYU leads the season series 48-37-3.

November 9, at Fresno State

A tough road game for the Aggies as they will face the defending Mountain West Conference champions. The Bulldogs lead the season series 17-12-1, but Utah State won the previous meeting in 2016, 38-20 at home.

November 16, vs. Wyoming

It was a defensive battle in Laramie in 2018 with Utah State beating the Cowboys 24-16. The Aggies lead the season series 39-26-4.

November 23, vs. Boise State

Utah State lost the critical match up in Boise last season, if they won, they would have hosted the conference championship game but the Broncos prevailed 33-24. BSU leads the season series 18-5. The Aggies hope to turn the tides on senior day.

November 30, at New Mexico

The regular season finale will be at New Mexico. They beat the Lobos 61-19 in Logan last season, but trail the season series 13-12.
