Former USU Guard Marco Anthony Announces Commitment To Runnin’ Utes

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah State Aggies guard Marco Anthony announced that he will follow his head coach Craig Smith to the University of Utah.

Anthony committed to the Runnin’ Utes on Tuesday, April 20.
The guard entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on April 12.
Smith was hired to be Utah’s head coach in late March.

Anthony is the second Utah State player to follow Smith to Utah. Earlier in April, former USU guard Rollie Worster announced his commitment to the Runnin’ Utes.
About Marco Anthony
Anthony played his first two seasons of college basketball with the Virginia Cavaliers. During his time with UVA, Anthony appeared in 35 games.
He was a member of Virginia’s national championship team in 2018-19.
After two seasons with the Cavaliers, Anthony transferred to Utah State.
In his lone season with the Aggies, the guard started in 28 contests. Anthony averaged 10.0 points on 41.5 percent shooting. He also posted 4.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 0.9 steals per game.
As a junior, Anthony helped the Aggies to a 20-9 record and berth in the NCAA Tournament.
