Utah Basketball Game Against Arizona State Postponed Due To COVID-19

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah men’s basketball team’s game against Arizona State has been postponed due to COVID-19.

The Runnin’ Utes were scheduled to play the Sun Devils in Tempe on Tuesday, December 22.
Utah basketball released the following statement on Sunday, December 20.
“Utah men’s basketball has postponed its game against Arizona State on Tuesday, December 22, due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the program. Utah and Arizona State will work in coordination with the Pac-12 Conference office to reschedule the game on a mutually agreeable date,” the statement read. “Information regarding the status of Utah’s road games at UCLA (Dec. 31) and USC (Jan. 2) will be updated at a later time.”

The Utes are 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in Pac-12 play. They have wins over Washington, Idaho State, Utah Valley and Idaho. Their lone loss came against BYU in Provo.
This isn’t the first time that Utah basketball has had a game canceled or postponed. They were supposed to play Dixie State and New Orleans to start the season back in November but the team had multiple COVID-19 cases, including head coach Larry Krystkowiak.
