SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Northwestern transfer forward Miller Kopp has narrowed his list to three teams and Utah is among the programs on that list.

Miller Kopp is a 6-foot-7 forward that spent three seasons at Northwestern before entering the transfer portal. Kopp told 247Sports that he has narrowed his list to Utah, Oregon State and Indiana.

“Throughout this whole process, I’ve had probably 20 or so schools that have reached out and recruited me,” Kopp told 247Sports. “I’ve kind of trimmed my list to Oregon State, Utah and Indiana. Those are the schools that are super serious about me and vice versa.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kopp will be a junior again this upcoming season and will not have to sit out a year after the NCAA passed the one-time transfer rule where a player doesn’t sit out a season if they transferred for the first time in their college career.

As a freshman in 2018-19, he averaged 4.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 32 games played with 19 starts. He significantly improved his numbers as a sophomore in 2019-20 with 31 games played and started, posting averages of 13.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest.

His number dropped a little as a junior in 2020-21, averaging 11.3 points and 3 rebounds per game in the 23 games he played and started. For his career at Northwestern, Kopp averaged 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and shot 40 percent from the field and 36 percent from the three-point line in 86 games played with 73 starts.

Craig Smith and his staff has picked up three players via the transfer portal, including Gabe Madsen (Cincinnati), David Jenkins Jr. (UNLV) and Rollie Worster (Utah State).
