Utah’s Donnie Tillman Named Pac-12 Sixth Man Of The Year

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah sophomore Donnie Tillman has been honored as the 2018-19 Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year for his efforts coming off the bench for the Utes.
To be eligible for the award, which was decided by vote among the conference’s coaches, a player must not start in more than one-third of conference meetings.
By coming off the bench in 13-of-18 Pac-12 showdowns, Tillman was eligible for the award. His effectiveness when he got in the game secured him the accolade.

This season, Tillman averaged 10.3 points per game with 5.3 rebounds to help Utah finish 11-8 in conference play. He was a major contributor as the Utes locked up the 3 seed in the conference tournament.
Other Utes to receive season awards include senior guard Sedrick Barefield, who was named a First-Team All-Pac-12 selection and freshman forward Timmy Allen, who was named to the All-Freshman team.
The Utes will next play the winner of Oregon and Washington in the Pac-12 Conference Tournament in Las Vegas. The game will tip off Thursday on 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.
