SALT LAKE CITY – The John Watson Northern Utah High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Northern Utah. Presented by John Watson Chevrolet in Ogden, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron. Our winners this week were Maylee Anderson of Syracuse High School and Easton Hansen of Fremon High School.
Northern Utah Players of the Week – Maylee Anderson & Easton Hansen
Maylee Anderson was the power behind both of Syracuse’s pair of victories last week. She tallied 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 49-43 win at Farmington. She then added 13 points, six steals, one rebound and one assist in a 43-41 victory over Davis.
Easton Hansen led the Silverwolves to a split of their games last week. In a 68-62 win at Clearfield, he tallied 18 points, five assists and one rebound. He followwed it up with 22 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists in a heartbreaking 60-59 loss to Roy.
