Northern Utah Players of the Week – Jaxton Itaaehau & Manase Tuatagaloa

Itaaehau and the Davis Darts hosted Weber High School on Senior Night last Friday in Region 1 action. Itaaheau wasted not time in settling in as he opened the scoring with a one-year touchdown plunge early in the first quarter. He followed it up by showing off his versatility in hauling in two-yard touchdown pass as the first quarter drew to a close before adding a second rushing touchdown early in the second as the Darts went on to build a 28-0 halftime lead. Davis went on to win 38-23 as Itaaheau tallied 14 carries for 121 yards and two touchdowns rushing while also adding 11 receptions for 109 yards and another touchdown as the Darts finished the season 9-1 overall and won the Region 1 title.

Tuatagaloa and the Fremont Silverwolves welcomed Roy High School in for Senior Night festivities last Friday. Tuatagloa bounced back from his early pick-six as he hooked up with Salesi Moa for a 60-yard touchdown to take a 7-6 lead after the first quarter. Fremont then went off in the second quarter with Tuatagaloa tossing four touchdown passes in the frame, three of them going to Slade Parker. The Silverwolves went on to win 41-21 as Tuatagaloa completed 16-of-25 passes for 267 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions as they finished the regular season 8-2.
