Utah County High School Basketball Players of the Week – Week 3 – Sutton Villa & Jamyn Sondrup

SALT LAKE CITY – The Mr. Mac Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep boy’s and girl’s basketball players in Utah County. Sponsored by Mr. Mac, it honors athletes for their performances on the court and exceptional play. Our winners for week one were Sutton Villa from Pleasant Grove High School and Jamyn Sondrup from Springville High School.

Utah County Players of the Week – Sutton Villa & Jamyn Sondrup

Sutton Villa and the Pleasant Grove Vikings continued their unbeaten start to the season with a pair of victories last week. In a 62-51 road win over Skuridge High School she paced the Vikings with 20 points, eight blocks, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal. She followed that up with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and six blocks in their 52-40 win over Farmington.

Jamyn Sondrup and the Springville Red Devils picked up a pair of victories last week as he held it down in the frontcourt. In a 73-52 road blowout of West High School, Sondrup tallied 27 points, 19 rebounds and two blocks. He followed that up with 24 points, 18 rebounds, two blocks and one assist in an 89-58 rout of Fremont High School.
