Utah County High School Basketball Players of the Week – Week 7 – Emmy Hales & Callen Tollestrup

SALT LAKE CITY – The Mr. Mac Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep boy’s and girl’s basketball players in Utah County. Sponsored by Mr. Mac, it honors athletes for their performances on the court and exceptional play. Our winners for week one were Emmy Hales from Payson High School and Callen Tollestrup from Provo High School.

Utah County Players of the Week – Emmy Hales & Callen Tollestrup

Emmy Hales led the Payson Lions to split their games last week in Region 7 action. She came up just short of a triple-double in their win at Wasatch, tallying 19 points, 17 rebounds and nine steals to go along with three assists and two blocks. She followed that up with 14 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two blocks as they came up short in a loss to Timpview.

Callen Tollestrup was the engine that drove the Provo Bulldogs to a pair of victories. He opened the week with 29 points, six rebounds, two assists and one block as Provo topped Timpanogos. He then added another 25 points as the took care of the Uintah Utes.
