LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Trademarked as “the Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports”, the 151st Kentucky Derby will take place at Churchill Downs this weekend.

About The 151st Kentucky Derby
The Kentucky Derby is the first leg of the Triple Crown. Following the race’s conclusion, the Preakness Stakes will take place in mid-May, and the Belmont Stakes will take place in early June.
20 horses and jockeys will run 1 1/4 miles with a $3 million purse split amongst the top-five finishers.
The contending horses in this year’s race are as follows: Citizen Bull, Neoequos, Final Gambit, American Promise, Admire Daytone, Luxor Cafe, Journalism, Burnham Square, Grande, Flying Mohawk, East Avenue, Publisher, Tiztastic, Render Judgment, Coal Battle, Sandman, Sovereignty, Chunk Of Gold, Owen Almighty, and Baeza.
