Kaysha Love, Kaillie Humphries Record Strong Start In Two-Woman Bobsled

SALT LAKE CITY – Kaysha Love of Herriman, Utah, and Kaillie Humphries sit in fifth place midway through the Two-Woman Bobsled event at the Winter Olympics.
The heats took place at Yanqing Sliding Centre on Friday, February 18.
Love and Humphries were the seventh of 20 teams to hit the ice for Run 1. Following their opening run, Love and Humphries sat in second place. They hit a top speed of 130.4 KM/H during their run. After all 20 teams went, the duo was in fourth place.

An hour later, Love and Humphries took the track again. The pair had a great start to their second go but didn’t finish the run the way they would have liked. Following their finish, Love and Humphries were in second place were a few more teams to go in Run 2. After the remaining teams finished their runs, Love and Humphries were in fifth place at the halfway mark of the event.
Fellow Team USA members Elana Meyers Taylors and Sylvia Hoffman were in third place after Run 2.

Runs 3 and 4 will take place on Saturday, February 19 at 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. (MDT).

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics
Just a year after Japan’s summer Olympics, the Games are back for a winter show in Beijing, China. The unusually short gap between Games is due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Strict precautions and enforced virus prevention protocol are in place to help keep athletes, coaches and personnel safe.
Beijing is the capital of China, with a population of more than 20 million people and the first city to host both a Summer and Winter Olympic games. It is one of the largest cities in the world and 15 hours ahead of Mountain Time. There are 13 different venues in and around Beijing that will be used for the Winter Olympics.
