SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – sports.ksl.com’s Bracket of Movies continues with a Round of Four matchup of the 3 and 31 seeds.
No. 3-seed Field of Dreams beat No. 30 The Longest Yard in the first round, No. 19 A League of their Own in the second round and No. 22 The Mighty Ducks in the Round of Eight. Kevin Costner stars in the 1989 film about an Iowa corn farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the 1919 Chicago White Sox come.
No. 31-seed The Sandlot knocked off No. 2 Caddyshack in the first round, No. 15 Cool Runnings in the second round and No. 23 Happy Gilmore in the Round of Eight. Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar and Art LaFleur star in the 1993 film about the summer of 1962, a new kid in town is taken under the wing of a young baseball prodigy and his rowdy team, resulting in many adventures.
