Report: Raiders Sign QB Derek Carr To Multi-Year Extension

SALT LAKE CITY – The Las Vegas Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr agreed to a multi-year contract extension, according to the NFL Network.
Carr’s new deal was first reported by Ian Rapoport on Wednesday, April 13.
The extension is reportedly worth $121.5 million over three years and will keep Carr in Las Vegas through the 2025 season.

Carr’s new contract will make him the NFL’s fifth-highest paid quarterback and seventh to make more than $40 million per year.

The Raiders first selected Carr with the No. 36 overall pick in the second round fo the 2014 NFL Draft.
The Fresno State alum has played the first eight seasons of his career with the Raiders organization in Oakland and Las Vegas.
In all, Derek Carr is set to earn $141.3 million over four years, with $100 million of it coming over the next three years. The deal also includes a no-trade clause, source says.

In his 127 career games, Carr has thrown for 31,700 yards, 193 touchdowns, and 85 interceptions with a 65.0 percent completion rate.
He’s led the Raiders to the postseason two times, including last season.
In 2021, Carr threw for 4,804 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Las Vegas finished the season with a 10-7 record and lost to the eventual AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round.
