Utah, BYU Make Top 8 Cut For Timpview High DE Logan Fano

PROVO, Utah – Timpview star defensive end Logan Fano has narrowed his list of schools to 8, including two schools from the state of Utah.

Fano announced his top 8 on Twitter, listing Utah, BYU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Washington and Virginia.

The Spanish Fork, Utah native is a three-star prospect that has a 0.8748 247 Sports composite rating. Along with that composite score, he is the No. 32 weak-side defensive end in the country and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Utah. 247 Sports updated their rating for Fano and put him as a four-star prospect, No. 22 weak-side defensive end and the No. 2 recruit in the state.

Fano is 6’4, 230-pound defensive end that was named to the Polynesian Bowl roster. Other than the top 8 that he narrowed his list to, Fano has received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, Utah State and Washington State.

The two coaches from the Utes that are recruiting Fano is defensive line coach Lewis Powell and defensive tackles coach Sione Po’uha. On 247 sports’ profile on Fano, they list schools that are “cool” or “warmer” with the warmer schools having a higher chance of landing the recruit. For Fano, he is warmer with Utah and Washington.
