Utah County Player of the Week – Week 7 – Sa Tanuvasa

The Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep football players in Utah County. It honors athletes for their performances on the gridiron and exceptional play. Our winner this week was Skyridge linebacker Sa Tanuvasa.

The Falcons played Corner Canyon last week, and jumped out to a big lead thanks to Skyridge’s defensive unit, on which Tanuvasa is a leader. The starting middle linebacker was all over the field getting stops for the Falcons defense, recording 15 tackles including 1.5 TFL. Tanuvasa’s key contributions came in pass defense, where he recorded two interceptions and 34 return yards off of them.

Skyridge raced out to a 27-0 lead, and held on for the 37-27 victory.
