Federal government sues Utah over state's ban on Kalshi
The federal government is stepping in to try and stop Utah from banning Kalshi. The development comes just after Utah Attorney General Derek Brown sued the prediction market, saying their business is gambling and cannot operate in the state. Remember, our state constitution explicitly bans all forms of gambling. But the feds say Kalshi isn't gambling, so what's up with this? KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas breaks down the arguments and says this case could very well end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.
