Northern Utah High School Basketball Players of the Week – Week 13 – Rachel McBride & Lincoln Smith

SALT LAKE CITY The John Watson Northern Utah High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Northern Utah. Presented by John Watson Chevrolet in Ogden, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron. Our winners this week were Rachel McBride from Syracuse High School and Lincoln Smith from Bountiful High School.

Northern Utah Players of the Week – Rachel McBride & Lincoln Smith

Rachel McBride powered the Titans as they made a run to the 6A semifinals. In their quarterfinal win over Copper Hills, she tallied 19 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal. She followed it up with 12 points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist in their semifinal loss to Bingham.

Lincoln Smith was the force that helped the Red Hawks make a run to the 5A State Championship Game. In a quarterfinals win over Alta, he made five three-pointers as he racked up 23 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. He then went off for 31 points with six rebounds, one assist and one steal in a semifinal win over Pleasant Grove. In the state title game loss to Olympus, he tallied 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.
