Chance Of Rain In Weather Forecast For BYU-Washigton State Game

PULLMAN, Washington – BYU football might get the whole Martin Stadium experience in their first-ever visit to Washington State.
The weather forecast on the Palouse for BYU-Washington State looks like many games do in Pullman. According to The Weather Channel, weather for Pullman, Washington today calls for a mostly cloudy forecast with a chance of rain.

During pregame, there’s around an 8% chance of rain in the forecast with a high of 50 degrees. When BYU and Washington State kickoff at 12:30 p.m. (PT), the chance of rain jumps up to 15%, with cloudy conditions remaining.

During the 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. hours, the chance for rain props up to 24% with the temperature at 51 degrees.
BYU played in cloudy, rainy conditions two weeks ago at home against Boise State. Unfortunately for the Cougars, that game ended BYU’s undefeated hopes as the Cougars turned the ball over four times to the Broncos. Three of those four turnovers came from BYU’s top two running backs in Tyler Allgeier and Lopini Katoa, who have rarely fumbled the football in their careers.
The turnovers paired with struggles to get off the field on defense left BYU with a shocking 26-17 loss to an unranked Boise State team.

There’s a precedent for this year’s BYU team playing down to their competition in inclement weather. They’ve also struggled in day games. The Cougars are 5-0 in games that kick after 7 p.m. or later this season. BYU played both of their losses at 1:30 p.m. (MT).
This is the fifth BYU-Washington State all-time. The last time these two programs met on the gridiron was in 2012, a game that BYU won 30-6 in former WSU head coach Mike Leach’s debut.
