SALT LAKE CITY- Utah’s last home game of the 2022 regular season will be a late one as they prepare to host the Stanford Cardinal at Rice-Eccles Stadium for Senior Night. It was announced Sunday morning the game next week will be an 8 p.m. MT kickoff on ESPN.

The game against Stanford will be Utah’s final tune up before their big matchup the following week in Eugene against the Oregon Ducks that will most likely determine who is in the Conference Championship Game. Time and network are yet to be announced. The Utes will then put a bow on the 2022 regular season with a trip up to Boulder to take on the Colorado Buffalos.

A Look Back On The 2022 Season So Far

The Utes have once again pieced together a nice season despite coming up short on one of their bigger goals- possibly making an appearance in the College Football Playoffs. Sitting at 7-2, Utah still has a chance to repeat as Pac-12 Champions and go to the Rose Bowl for the second straight year. Utah is currently in a heated battle with Oregon, USC, and UCLA for the chance to go to Las Vegas and earn the title and the top two will most likely be determined in two weeks on November 19.

Utah played an epic game against Florida in the Swamp to open the season but came up just short of the win. The Utes did put SEC Country on notice however, that at least one team in the west knows how to play “big boy” football.

After shaking off the disappointment of being so close to really making some noise, Utah went home and rattled off convincing wins against Southern Utah, San Diego State, Arizona State (on the road) and Oregon State.

The Utes were thrown another curve ball when they traveled to Pasadena to take on a revamped UCLA team that Utah ultimately couldn’t handle.

Back at home, the Utes pulled off one of the best wins to ever take place at Rice-Eccles Stadium, beating USC by a single point off of a last-minute Cam Rising two-point conversion. Utah would then go on the road to Pullman on a Thursday night to square off with Washington State in one of the more bizarre wins in recent memory, bringing us to last night and the Utes’ convincing win over Arizona to setup the last three games of the year.
