Horton-Tucker Puts Former Teammate On Poster With Thunderous Dunk

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Lakers and current Jazz guard Talen Horton-Tucker posterized one of his former teammates with a massive slam dunk during Utah’s game against Los Angeles.
The Jazz hosted the Lakers at Vivint Arena on Monday, November 7.
With 3:09 to go in the third quarter, Mike Conley dished the ball off to a driving Horton-Tucker, who rose up and rocked the rim with a huge jam over Lakers center Damian Jones.
Horton-Tucker’s dunk gave the Jazz a 108-90 lead.

Jones fouled his old Lakers teammate on the play, but the Jazzman missed the free throw. Horton-Tucker was traded from Los Angeles to Utah in August. Jones and Horton-Tucker played together on the Lakers for a short time during the 2020-21 season.
At the end of the third quarter, the Jazz owned a 115-98 lead. Horton-Tucker had 11 points on 4-8 field goals, one rebound, two assists, and a steal during his first 13 minutes of action against his old squad.

This season, Horton-Tucker is averaging 6.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 16.2 minutes per contest for the Jazz.

LeBron, Two Other Lakers Out
The Lakers will be extremely shorthanded when they travel to Utah to face the Jazz.
Superstar LeBron James will miss Monday’s game due to left foot soreness.
The Lakers starting backcourt will also miss the game in Utah as Lonnie Walker IV and Patrick Beverley are out with non-covid illnesses.
James had 17 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in the Lakers loss to the Jazz on Friday, but the star’s impact on the game was hardly felt.
Beverley and Walker IV combined for 22 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
