BYU Basketball Lands Commitment From Texas Guard Brooks Bahr

PROVO, Utah – BYU basketball added a necessary piece to its 2024 recruiting class by landing Brooks Bahr.

Bahr is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard from Keller High School in Keller, Texas. In the industry-standard 247Sports Composite ratings, Bahr is the 202nd nationally-ranked prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle. He’s the No. 15 prospect in the state of Texas.

He announced his commitment during a hat ceremony at his high school gymnasium on Monday.

Bahr picked BYU over Wake Forest, Saint Mary’s USC, and Utah, among others.

During his junior year at Keller, Bahr averaged 21.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.8 steals per game.

Bahr enters his senior season as the top player for a Keller squad that plays at the 6A level of Texas high school basketball.

The addition of Bahr brings BYU’s recruiting class for the 2024 cycle up to two commitments. BYU’s other commitment is Isaac Davis from Hillcrest High School in Idaho. National Signing Day kicks off on Wednesday and both players are expected to sign their letters of intent this Wednesday.
