Kalani Sitake Calls Isaiah Glasker ‘One Of The Most Athletic Linebackers’ He’s Seen

Jul 8, 2025, 4:25 PM | Updated: Jul 9, 2025, 10:44 am

SALT LAKE CITY – Isaiah Glasker emerged in 2024 as a shining star in the middle of a Big 12-best BYU Cougar defense that terrorized and harassed opponents into turnovers all season.

Glasker may have missed out on an All-Big 12 preseason team, but he won’t be left out on the KSL Sports Zone Hans & Scotty G. 60 in 60 watchlist.

“Glasker is one of the most athletic linebackers I’ve ever been around,” Sitake said with conviction. “He’s tall and he’s big, and normally when we projected him to be a linebacker, he was a receiver and a safety in high school. So he’s used to running fast, and it just seemed like he never slowed down when he got here.”

“You look at his instincts and the way that he’s coached, he’s always open to try to find ways to get better,” Sitake said. “He can blitz, he’s physical, he’s a complete package, and he is a big, big time player.

Glasker led the defense with 70 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and  14.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage. He had three interceptions, forced a fumble, and scored a defensive touchdown in his breakout campaign.

About BYU’s Isaiah Glasker

Glasker was a standout two-way player while prepping with the Bingham Miners. He was considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com after making 48 catches for 811 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior.

Defensively, Glasker added 31 tackles and three interceptions as a senior. He was a Utah 6A All-State Second Team honoree.

Glasker served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Glasker appeared in eight games, registering three tackles as a safety in 2023 after redshirting his freshman season.
