DENVER, Colo. – Utah Jazz forward Thabo Sefolosha made the most of an opportunity to make an impact, knocking down three straight 3-pointers in the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets.

The 13-year veteran has been dealing with injuries and reduced minutes all season. His 10.4 minutes per game going into the contest in Denver has been a career low. However, with his team severely shorthanded due to injuries, Sefolosha was put in the game to provide a boost.

He made the most of his opportunity, especially in the second quarter. The Swiss-natural made three triples in a row, within a span of two minutes. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, however. Sefolosha has been shooting 45.2 percent from beyond the arc this season, tops on the team and a career-high for the 6-7 forward.

His last three gave the Jazz an 11-point lead at 38-27. In the second, the Jazz outscored Denver 33-15 to take a 52-37 halftime lead.
