Punt Return For Touchdown, Love Throw Give Aggies Big Lead In First Half

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State returner, Deven Thompkins gave the Aggies their first touchdown of Saturday’s game against the Stony Brook Seawolves with a 45-yard punt return.
The Aggies were up 3-0 when Stony Brook punted the football from their own endzone and Thompkins received the football.
Thompkins took the punt 45 yards down the sideline for the score giving USU a 10-0 lead in with 7:26 in the first quarter.

The Aggies would go on to score another touchdown in the first quarter on a 29-yard touchdown pass. Aggies quarterback, Jordan Love was falling back due to pressure from the Seawolves defense when he floated a ball to the endzone to receiver, Siaosi Mariner for the TD.

Utah State also had an early field to start the game. The Aggies entered the second quarter with a 17-0 lead.
