Wilgar Prevents Washington TD On Fake Field Goal Trick Play

PROVO, Utah – BYU linebacker Payton Wilgar prevented a touchdown from the Washington Huskies on a fake field goal attempted.
The Huskies lined up for a field goal attempt on 4th & Goal from the BYU 5. Wilgar prevented the Huskies from scoring on the trick play by tackling UW’s Race Porter short of the goal line.
The Cougar linebacker’s tackle gave BYU the ball back via turnover on downs with 4:13 left in the first half of Saturday’s game.

Washington was up 24-9 and was driving for another score when Wilgar halted the Huskies.
Washington fakes the FG and tries to run the ball for a TD. BYU stops the Huskies and gets the ball via turnover on downs.
