SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Week 10 of the English Premier League treated us to a massive result. Leicester’s 9-0 thumping of Southampton was an awesome example of the attacking talent the EPL has across the division.

Now we’re left wanting more, aren’t we? Whilst another 9-0 is probably not on the books, there are some tasty matchups as we head into week 11.

There is no KSL 5 premiere match this week, but the Rugby Union World Cup final will be on at 10:00 a.m.

AFC Bournemouth v. Manchester United

The early kick-off on Saturday is our first stop, ninth against seventh. Both teams are in okay form, but United have won three games in a row. Are we starting to see them turn a corner? Confidence seems to be up a little and some of the attacking play, particularly through Marcus Rashford, is slicker than in previous matches.

There is a long way to go for Manchester United. They are still a massive project. Realistically, United might not be a title challenger for a few more years; but, they still carry tremendous clout and are still a huge scalp for every team in the league.

Defensively there is still more to come. The attack has massive potential. Rashford leads the scoring charts for United with five goals. His main partner, Daniel James with three goals, has been equally impressive over the last couple of weeks. Throw in the return of Anthony Martial and things are looking a little rosier in the red half of Manchester.

Bournemouth will fancy their chances, even if United come into Vitality Stadium as favorites. United’s inconsistency has been and will continue to be evident for a while yet.

For Bournemouth, it’s not only about playing to the best of their ability but also tightening up defensively.

Both teams sit on the same amount of points in the league, but United are higher in the table because they have a better defensive record.

Callum Wilson (five goals) will again lead the line and be supported by ex-United player, Josh King.

Bournemouth have goals in them. They’ll cause anyone in the league trouble. I’ll go on record and say that even the brand of soccer they play is more attractive than their opponent this week. It feels that United have turned the corner, just a touch. I think their power will be too much for the Cherries.

PREDICTION: 3-1, Manchester United

Crystal Palace v. Leicester City

Sixth against third here at Selhurst Park, in the early kick-off Sunday morning. No disrespect to the Eagles, but I’m really excited to watch Leicester City.

All eyes have been on the Foxes since they blew Southampton apart, 9-0, just over a week ago. They’ve been threatening a result like that all season. Their style, demonstrated so far under manager Brendan Rodgers, will likely be spoken of for the rest of the season. Any lingering doubts of “can they finish top four?” were extinguished last week.

That doesn’t mean I think they’ll push Man City or Liverpool in a title race; but if the goal is qualifying for next season’s Champions League, I’d be worried if I played for the other so-called big teams.

Jamie Vardy now leads the goal scoring charts. The 32-year-old has nine goals on the season in the EPL. Fullback Ben Chilwell, young attacking midfielder Harvey Barnes, and James Maddison will provide ammunition for Leicester’s #9.

Let’s not dismiss Palace, though. Their home, Selhurst Park is as intimidating as any ground in the EPL.

Wilfried Zaha has recently shown he’s the danger man, admittedly after a slow start to the season. The stat sheet doesn’t make for good reading, but his influence on the pitch is unrivaled on the current Palace team. The winger will keep the fullbacks occupied, and there is hope Zaha will provide gaps for Jordan Ayew to exploit. The Ghanaian has four goals this season and they’ll look to him again.

Leicester’s back four have been stingy this season, only eight goals conceded so far. I expect a battle, but I think the Foxes’ quality will shine through eventually.

PREDICTION: Leicester City, 2-1

Everton v. Tottenham Hotspur

Sixteenth against 11th, to say these teams have been disappointing after they both spent heavily in the summer is an understatement.

Two managers, Marco Silva and Mauricio Pochettino that are both under pressure for results. The latter, despite his high stock, may see his time on the EPL clock run out. If the papers in England are to be believed then the Argentine might find himself going to Germany, as Bavarian giants Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in his services.

This game is the most intriguing one of the weekend for me. Both teams desperate to kick start their seasons. Both looking for their talisman to give them an edge, Richarlison for the Toffees and Harry Kane for Spurs.

Last weekend Tottenham scored early against Liverpool and then tried to ride out the inevitable pressure and counter-attack. It almost worked. I expect them to have more possession on Sunday.

Everton aren’t bad, but it seems every time they take a step forward, they take a step back. Unlike Spurs, it’s not always clear what Marco Silva’s Everton identity is.

Both teams have been guilty of poor defending this season. That’s why they find themselves where they are in the standings. However, Spurs are quality, and I expect it to click eventually.

The key man for this game is Spurs’ South Korean attacker, Son Heung-min. If Everton can stop him they will have a chance. Heung-min not only provides and opens up space for Kane, but he can stretch the best defenses in Europe. If he is not stopped, I think it’ll be along afternoon for the blue half of Merseyside.

Everton’s back-line has been a weak spot this season, prone to errors, along with the goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford. They’ll need a near faultless display to get anything this weekend. Sadly for you Everton fans I just don’t see it this weekend, for me Spurs have the quality to get a result at Goodison Park.

PREDICTION: Tottenham Hotspur, 1-0
