SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – As NBA teams continue to move their offenses further and further from the hoop, the spacing underneath the basket is at an all-time high. As a result, fans are treated to more highlight reel dunks than ever before.

More threes and more dunks? It’s really the best of both worlds.

This week features a few windmill throw-downs from bouncy guards, a clutch facial from Collin Sexton, and Tyler Herro coming up on the wrong end of two dunks in the same game.

Here’s a collection of the best dunks of week two in the NBA.

Jabari Parker Goes Coast-to-Coast On The Heat

So Jabari Parker’s career hasn’t quite taken off like many had hoped. The one-time Dukie is on his fourth team in six years, and hasn’t been a full time starter since 2016.

Still, the former second overall pick flashes highlights of what made him so special in high school and college, and displays his amazing combination of size, skill, and athleticism.

Parker goes coast-to-coast and catches rookie Tyler Herro in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Love the effort Herro, hard to love the results.

Cam Reddish Crams On Herro

Speaking of top picks out of Duke dunking on Tyler Herro…

In the same game, in the same quarter, the rookie and former Blue Devil Cam Reddish dunked Herro back to the stone-age.

Heat fans can’t be too upset. Herro, the 13th pick is averaging over 15.7 points and six rebounds per game. Reddish is averaging 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, shooting a miserable 20.9 percent from the floor and just 5.6 percent from three.

Woof.

Nice springs, though.

Ben Simmons Reverses Minnesota

The only thing talked about from this game was the fight between Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony-Towns, and the ensuing twitter beef.

That allowed Simmons incredible reverse dunk over the Wolves roster to go unnoticed.

For some reason, the lefties just make it look better.

Collin Sexton Rushes The Bulls

Are all Cavaliers games are shot with high speed cameras like this? It adds a nice touch to a team that probably won’t win a lot of games this year.

Check out the reactions of both Collin Sexton and Kevin Love!

Here’s another angle for good measure.

Gary Harris on Pelicans

Hey it turns out Jahlil Okafor is still in the NBA… and catching posters from Gary Harris.

It’s appropriate this happened on Halloween. The dunk might haunt Okafor for a while.

Marquese Chriss Catches, Pauses, Hammers

There haven’t been a lot of things to cheer about for the Warriors fans this season. Not that anyone feels bad for them after five straight finals appearances resulting in three Larry O’Brien Trophies.

Chriss made an appearance in last week’s top dunks, and seems to once again defy gravity in this entry.

Watch how he methodically rises, catches, turns, then slams, all in mid air.

DeMar DeRozan, a fellow posterizer, should know better.

Alex Caruso Skies On The Mavericks

Did you know they call Alex Caruso “Bald Mamba?” Apparently he also goes by “Bald Eagle.”

Both of those better than Alexander the Great, which the Lakers social media team dubbed him here.

Speaking of bald people, Maxi Klieber should heed the wise words of Homer Simpson.

Hamidou Diallo Spins The Pelicans

Windmills have always been the best NBA dunks, are currently the best NBA dunks, and will continue to be the best NBA dunks.

Hamidou Diallo throws down the lefty windmill over the Pelicans. This is a two point game, that takes guts.

De’Aaron Fox Closes The Door On The Knicks

See everything that was said about the previous dunk, then ctrl + C and ctrl + P it here.

Fox’s windmill is a little cleaner than Diallo’s, but the Knicks were already down so many points, it doesn’t carry the same risk.

Still, nothing like flying high at Madison Square Garden.

Donovan Mitchell Alley-Oops The Clippers

It’s hard to argue with Donovan Mitchell’s brilliance so far this season.

The third year guard is averaging career highs in points, rebounds, and steals, and his shooting numbers are through the roof.

Glad he still has time to do what first burst him onto the scene – defying the laws of physics to finish above the rim.

Devin Booker Stuns The 76ers

The Suns are off to an amazing start, with wins over both the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Devin Booker is playing no small role, averaging over 26 points per game on 50/50/90 shooting slashes to start the season. But just because he’s on fire from the floor, doesn’t mean he can’t leave the earth to do this occasionally.

At least Josh Richardson was wise enough not to jump.

Check back next week for another edition of the league’s top dunks.
