SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley ended his film session with a fun and entertaining video.

He posted a film breakdown on some things that the Utah coaches do during practices and games.

The Utah defensive coordinator has posted videos that break down highlights of each of his defenders that are entering the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

Scalley posted his final “home edit” on Twitter but this video was about the coaching staff.

“On the defensive side of the ball, the energy has to come from the corners coach,” Scalley said about cornerback coach Sharrieff Shah. “When good things happen, he has to clap as if his baby just won the spelling bee. Jumping around as if he is in a house of pain music video.”

“Bad technique has to be met with utter disgust as if someone just sneezed in your soup,” Scalley continued.

The former Utah defensive back and current coordinator shifted to the offensive side of the football.

“On the other side of the ball, the o-line coach has to bring the weather,” Scalley stated. “He has to act as if he is making his entrance in the main event of a WWE wrestling match.”

Scalley went on to give aspiring coaches some advice.

“Don’t turn your back on the action,” said Scalley. He brought that up because players have ran into coaches during a play because the coaches were not watching the players on the field.

“Tip number two is to learn the coaches prayer,” mentioned Scalley. “Jim Harding demonstrates the prayer by being bent over, elbows on his knees, head bent over and asking for help to prevent him from inflicting bodily harm on the individual that just ripped his heart out from his missed assignment.”

Scalley gave his third tip to aspiring head coaches.

“Tip number three is that the players need to know where the end zone is at all times,” stated Scalley. “It’s our responsibility and duty to point it out to them when they’ve got the ball.”

Scalley ended the video by critiquing himself about not getting involved in drills.

“Yours truly here in a pursuit drill, making the same mistake and I am going to pay dearly because of it. It’s just not smart and I need to be better than that,” Scalley said.
