BYU RB Tyler Allgeier Runs For 86-Yard TD On Cougars’ Second Offensive Play Against Boise State

BOISE, Idaho – BYU running back Tyler Allgeier ran the distance for an 86-yard touchdown on the Cougars’ second offensive play of the game against the Boise State Broncos.

The No. 21 Broncos hosted the No. 9 Cougars at Albertson’s Stadium in Boise, Idaho on Friday, November 6.
After quarterback Zach Wilson connect with tight end Issac Rex for a nine-yard catch to the BYU 14-yard line on first down, Allgeier took a handoff from Wilson and ran the ball 86 yards for a touchdown on the second play of the Cougars’ first possession of the game.
The two-play, 95-yard drive took 43 seconds. BYU took a 7-0 lead with 11:24 left to go in the opening quarter.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, it was the longest BYU play since 2006.

It was Allgeier’s eight touchdown run of the season.
After the score, the BYU running back had 92 carries for 673 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
