BYU QB Jacob Conover Signs NIL Endorsement With Car Wrapping Company

SALT LAKE CITY – BYU football quarterback Jacob Conover is one of the latest players in the Cougar program to land an individual NIL endorsement.

The heralded true freshman who’s vying to become BYU’s next starting quarterback landed an endorsement deal with Utah vehicle wrap and printing specialist Quent of Wraps.

Since the NCAA temporarily lifted their rules against student-athletes like Conover have been able to profit off their name, image, and likeness.

The specific terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Conover will receive compensation that includes an exchange of product totaling thousands of dollars.

Queen of Wraps CEO Harley Griffith has a connection to Conover’s hometown of Chandler, Arizona, which made him intrigued by the idea of working with the freshman BYU QB.

“My father was the MVP of the Chandler, Arizona High School football team back in the ’30s,” wrote Griffith in a statement. “I am thrilled to sponsor another Chandler athlete as he comes to lead the BYU Cougars.”

Griffith also explained the motivation for his company to strike a deal with Conover, “We expect this agreement will increase our name recognition with business owners who follow sports and enhance our brand image by association with one of the top athletes in Utah who happens to embody our corporate values of excellence, integrity, and service.”

Jacob Conover will receive a custom wrap for his personal vehicle

Conover discussed design direction with Queen of Wraps CEO and CFO for a custom branded wrap on his personal vehicle back on July 27. According to the release, Conover will be given full creative control over the project.

BYU has been a leader in the name, image, and likeness space nationally since they launched the Built4Life program. From team-wide endorsements to individual endorsements, all BYU football players are profiting off this historic time in college athletics. Conover is one of the latest.
