Dixie State Unable To Pull Off Comeback In Loss To Delaware

SALT LAKE CITY – The Dixie State Trailblazers were unable to pull off a comeback and suffered a loss to the Delaware Blue Hens.
The Blue Hens hosted the Blazers on Saturday, October 30.
Dixie State fell to Delaware, 17-10.

The Blue Hens got things going on a touchdown run with 10:39 left in the opening quarter.
Delaware extended its lead to 14-0 with another run across the goal with 2:47 before halftime.
Dixie State was able to find the scoreboard before the break when Michael Moten caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Kobe Tracy with 1:04 left in the second quarter.
However, the Blue Hens added to their total with a 43-yard field goal as time expired at the end of the first half.

The Trailblazers were able to find more points a minute and a half into the third quarter when Dixie State’s Connor Brooksby connected on a 33-yard field goal.
Neither team was unable to score throughout the rest of the contest. Dixie State fell short of a comeback and fell in a seven-point loss.
Tracy finished the game 25/39 passing for 314 yards with one touchdown and an interception.
Drew Kannely-Robles led Dixie State’s receivers with six catches for 112 yards.
Moten finished with six catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.
With the loss, the Trailblazers fell to an 0-8 record this season.
Dixie State’s next game is on the road against the Sam Houston Bearkats on Saturday, November 6 at 11 a.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
