Dixie State Defeats Fort Lewis For First Win Of Season

SALT LAKE CITY – The Dixie State Trailblazers defeated the Fort Lewis Skyhawks to earn their first victory of the 2021 campaign.
The Trailblazers hosted the Skyhawks Greater Zion Stadium in St. George, Utah on Saturday, November 13.
Dixie State beat Fort Lewis 62-21.

The Blazers struck first and took a 7-0 lead on a 16-yard touchdown by Drew Kannely-Robles only 48 seconds into the game.
Less than two minutes later, Dixie State scored for the second time on a 22-yard touchdown pass from Kobe Tracy to Keith Davis.
With 10:12 left in the opening quarter, Fort Lewis got on the scoreboard thanks to a 51-yard touchdown pass.
After taking a 14-7 lead into the second quarter, Dixie State dominated the final 15 minutes of the first half.
The Trailblazers scored 35 unanswered points during the second quarter and took a commanding 49-7 lead into the halftime break.
In the third quarter, Kannley-Robles ran in fourth touchdown of the game to give the Trailblazers a 56-7 lead. After a Fort Lewis TD, Dixie State finished the game making two field goals.
With the win, the Trailblazers improved to a 1-9 record this season.
Dixie State’s final game of the season is at home against the Missouri State Bears on Saturday, November 20 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
