Pac-12 North Division To Be Decided In Two Rivalry Games

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah clinched the Pac-12 South Division title on Saturday after beating Oregon but the Utes still don’t know who they will face in Las Vegas.
It has come down to three teams in the north that will battle for the division title this weekend for a chance to play Utah at Allegiant Stadium. Those three teams include Oregon, Oregon State and Washington State.
Here are the scenarios for Utah fans to watch for as the north division battle comes to an end:
Pac-12 North Scenarios To Watch For
The two games that will take place in the conference this weekend are rivalry contests. Oregon will host Oregon State on Saturday, November 27 at 1:30 p.m. MT on ESPN. Washington State will head to Seattle to battle Washington in the Apple Cup on Friday, November 26 at 6 p.m. MT on FS1.

Oregon is in first place in the North Division with a 6-2 record. Washington State and Oregon State are tied for second at 5-3. If any of these teams are tied at the end of the season, the tiebreaker is the head-to-head matchup.

Oregon holds the tiebreaker over Washington State. Washington State has the tiebreaker over Oregon State. Oregon State can only get the tiebreaker over Oregon with a win over the Ducks on Saturday.

As far as scenarios, for Oregon to reach the title game, they will need to simply get a win over Oregon State. For Oregon State to win the division, they will need to beat Oregon and have Washington State lose to Washington.
For Washington State to reach Las Vegas, they will need to beat Washington in the Apple Cup and have Oregon State beat Oregon.
Utah’s Record Against Three Contenders
This season, Utah is 2-1 against these three teams. They picked up a 24-13 win over Washington State in the Pac-12 opener. Then they went to Oregon State and fell to the Beavers, 42-34. Last weekend, Utah beat Oregon at home, 38-7.
Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, Utah is 3-5 against the Ducks, including a 37-15 loss in the 2019 Pac-12 Championship game. The Utes hold a 6-3 record over the Beavers but OSU snapped a five-game winning streak with a win over the Utes in 2021.
Utah is 5-4 against Washington State as conference foes, including three straight wins.
The Utes will host Colorado on Senior Day on Friday, November 26. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. MT on FOX.
