SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen threw down an early putback dunk during Utah’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Blazers hosted the Jazz at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, November 19.
With 5:20 remaining in the opening quarter, Jordan Clarkson attempted a 15-foot pullup jumper that failed to fall to the bottom of the net. The ball bounced into the air before Markkanen collected it with his right hand and threw it through the cylinder for two points.
The forward’s putback cut Portland’s lead to 17-7.
