Jazz Notes: Is A Big Change On Horizon For Utah?

SALT LAKE CITY – After the Utah Jazz started the season 2-6, are there any changes to be made in an effort to turn the season around?
On the Jazz Notes podcast, Ben Anderson and Chandler Holt gave their thoughts on the rocky start to the 2023-24 season.

Some fans are already asking for a trade as defense and turnover issues have plagued Utah early on.
However, a fix could be much simpler than that.
What Can Utah Do To Turn It Around?
Right now Utah has debatably the worst backcourt in the NBA. Shooting troubles have been the story for Jordan Clarkson, Talen Horton-Tucker, and some of the other Jazz guards.

“It’s the worst guard rotation in the NBA and it shouldn’t be,” Anderson said.
Clarkson should be able to turn it around and begin to hit shots. The biggest question mark for the Jazz is THT.
If Utah makes a starting lineup change for one or both of the guards, it’s possible that they could find new life.

Whether it’s Keyonte George, Ochai Agbaji, or Collin Sexton, getting bench players new opportunities could potentially open the door to more wins.
“I suspect we’ll see a change to the starting lineup before the end of this road trip,” Anderson said.
However, the Jazz are already in a tough spot if they hope to compete in the postseason as opposed to the draft lottery.
The Western Conference is so competitive. The longer it takes to get going, the harder it will be to finish in the top ten.
