Jordan Clarkson Sports Danny Ainge BYU Jersey At Jazz Home Closer

SALT LAKE CITY – At the Utah Jazz’s final home game of the 2024-2025 season, veteran guard Jordan Clarkson pulled up in a Danny Ainge BYU basketball jersey.

Clarkson has played in just five of Utah’s last 22 games, but that won’t stop him from dressing to impress on the sideline.

Ainge, the CEO of basketball operations for the Jazz, played college basketball at BYU from 1977 to 1981 before embarking on an illustrious professional career.

He has held a front office role in Utah since 2021, which means that Clarkson has been a Jazzman ever since Ainge has had a say in the roster and coaching staff.

Clarkson has played in Utah since the 2019-2020 season and undergone a full transition from high-scoring spark plug to seasoned team veteran.

In 37 games played this season, he is averaging 16.2 points and 3.7 assists.

Jazz Close Out Home Schedule Against OKC Thunder

The Utah Jazz close out their home schedule tonight with the Oklahoma City Thunder in town.

After dropping nine straight and 10 of their last 19, the Jazz ended their drought with a 133-126 overtime win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Still, Utah owns a 10-30 record at home and sits at 17-63 overall, tied for the worst mark in the NBA.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have been putting together an all-time regular season on the back of MVP-candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. At 66-14, Oklahoma City has earned the luxury of resting players ahead of the playoffs — and rest they will. Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, Luguentz Dort, and several others are all on the Thunder’s injury report for Friday’s matchup.

This will be the fourth and final matchup between Utah and Oklahoma City this season. The Thunder has dominated the series, winning all three previous matchups by an average margin of more than 17 points.
