SALT LAKE CITY—Kyle Whittingham’s Utah football program has had a busy month of recruiting, welcoming a large number of prospects to campus for visits. This weekend, they’ll welcome five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo to Salt Lake City, as first reported by On3.

Utah has recruited the offensive line at a very high level and enters the 2025 season with two offensive tackles prominently on NFL radars.

Regardless, this is a significant development for the Utes, who only offered Ojo two weeks ago on June 2.

Five-star Felix Ojo set to visit Utah Football

Ojo will visit Salt Lake City this weekend, which will be his final visit. So far, Ojo has taken official visits to Ole Miss (April 18),  Colorado (May 2), Florida (May 18), Ohio State (May 30), Michigan (June 6), and Texas (June 13).

Ojo currently plays for Lake Ridge High School (Mansfield, TX) and has an offer sheet that includes 50 schools. He currently owns a 98 five-star rating and ranks as the No. 1 OT and No. 5 overall player in the 2026 class according to 247 Sports.

Utah offered Ojo on June 2 and has made a big push to secure his final official visit. Ojo previously had scheduled a trip with Oklahoma this weekend, but recently cancelled those plans.

Felix Ojo’s scouting report

Evaluating Ojo is a joy, as he is one of the top tackle prospects. He has a great frame that speaks to his potential. He checks in at 6-foot-6 and 272 pounds, and has plenty of room to grow. Perhaps the most impressive thing about Ojo is his July birthday, which essentially makes him a year younger than his classmates.

Ojo’s size allows him to dominate at the point of attack. He’s able to get his hands on opposing linemen early and take control of the rep. He’s also remarkably athletic for his size and plays with a real nasty streak.

He competed at the 2025 Navy‐Army All-American Bowl as a junior and still stood out with his play. Ojo needs development, but he still has all the tools to make an early impact in his collegiate career before he eventually moves on to the next level.

Ojo needs to add mass and improve as a technician, but he has all the uncoachables a coach would want in a player. From his sheer size to athleticism or his effort and toughness, Ojo has the makings to be one of the best tackles in the country.
