National Media Slowly Opening Its Eyes To Undefeated BYU Football

BOULDER, Colorado – No. 25 BYU football entered the night still looking for that signature win to prove they are a force to be reckoned with in 2025. As Cougar fans celebrated, national media started taking note of the undefeated team from Provo.
Following a 24-21, come-from-behind win that saw BYU storm back from a 14-0 deficit, head coach Kalani Sitake said his team needed to be tested like that to reach its ceiling.
Perhaps the most amusing interaction of the night came when prized BYU QB commit Ryder Lyons appeared to poke fun at an earlier comment criticizing his commitment to the Provo-based school.

True freshman Bear Bachmeier continues to prove he was the right choice to lead the Cougars after accounting for 277 yards of offense and two passing touchdowns. Bachmeier’s 98 rushing yards are the second-most for a freshman (Taysom Hill – 165 yards) in program history.

Colorado tested the Cougars’ defense but ultimately withstood the test.
Isaiah Glasker added another highlight to his NFL scouting tape when he finished the win with a diving interception in the final minute.
