Former Utah QB Tyler Huntley Leads Ravens To Week 8 Victory

BALTIMORE — Former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley got his first start of the season in week eight and led the Baltimore Ravens to a 30-16 win over Chicago.
Huntley completed 17 of his 22 pass attempts for 186 yards and a touchdown. He added eight carries for 53 yards on the ground.

Tyler Huntley-Led Ravens Defeat Chicago Bears
Throughout the week, Baltimore’s QB1, Lamar Jackson, was trending toward being available. However, on gameday, it was announced that he would need another week of rest.
Instead of Cooper Rush, the Ravens opted to go with Huntley. And that proved to be the right decision.
The Ravens went down 6-0 in the first quarter but then stormed back with 10 in the second. They opened the quarter with a 62-yard drive that ended in a Derrick Henry touchdown.
All of the next three Baltimore drives through the third quarter ended in field goals.

After a Chicago TD to open the fourth, the Ravens were quick to respond.
Set up in the red zone off an interception, Huntley found Charlie Kolar out to the left for six.
It was the former Utes’ first touchdown since January 5.

From there, it was smooth sailing for Baltimore.
The Bears tracked on a field goal, but Henry put the nail in the coffin on the next drive, securing the second win of the season for the Ravens.
About Tyler Huntley
Before his time in the NFL, Huntley was a standout player at the University of Utah. He played for the Utes from 2016-19.
During his Utah career, the Dania, Florida native threw for 7,351 yards, 46 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions with a 67 percent completion rate.
Huntley signed with the Ravens after going undrafted following the 2020 NFL Draft.
He spent the majority of his time in Baltimore as the backup to Lamar Jackson but started games in place of the two-time NFL MVP.
In 2022, Huntley helped the Ravens earn a playoff berth in the Wild Card round. He threw for 658 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions during the regular season. Huntley also ran for 137 yards and a touchdown.

During his first four seasons in the league, Huntley threw for 1,957 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions with a 64.6 percent completion rate. He also ran for 509 yards and three touchdowns.
After the 2022 regular season, the former Utah standout was named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster as an alternate. Huntley threw four touchdown passes during the Pro Bowl Games.
Huntley signed with the Cleveland Browns during the 2024 offseason. After getting released at the roster cutdown deadline, Huntley resigned in Baltimore. After Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa went down with a concussion in week two, Miami signed Huntley from Baltimore’s practice squad.
He went on to rejoin the Browns in the 2025 offseason but was once again cut from the 53-man roster. Huntley joined the Ravens’ practice squad before week one of the 2025 NFL season.
