SALT LAKE CITY — Signing Day fireworks belong to Utah. Four-star athlete Salesi Moa — previously committed to the Volunteers — has officially flipped his pledge to the Utes.
Utah football didn’t just add another recruit — they flipped one of the nation’s premier athletes from Tennessee to cap off a Signing Day surge that will echo around the Big-12.

A Massive Signing Day Swing for Utah
As the early signing period unfolded Wednesday, Utah sealed the deal on Moa — a true game-changer.

This is the culmination of years of work, but over the last month, the Utes put on the full court press to add him to the class. Moa visited the program for the Kansas State game, and after a final surge to signing day this week, the Utes pulled it off.
Standing 6-foot-2 and athletic enough to play both ways, Moa was long coveted by the Utes. The coaching staff made a strong push to bring him back home after he originally picked Tennessee in July, and their relentless relationship building paid off when it counted most.
Why Salesi Moa Matters So Much
Moa isn’t just another body in the fold — he’s a difference-maker. Ranked among the top athletes in the country and the No. 1 player in Utah, he brings elite athleticism with true two-way potential and is expected to contribute immediately as a dynamic receiver.
His flip is more than keeping a player home — it’s a statement of culture, connection, and momentum. It signals Utah’s recruiting traction is real after going 10-2 and finishing the regular season ranked No. 15 in the country.
Joining Kelvin Obot, Moa gives Utah two players that rank inside the top 50 for the first time in program history. Moa is expected to come in and contribute right away.
