Utah Taps Legendary Ute and NFL All-Pro Jordan Gross as New Offensive Line Coach

SALT LAKE CITY — Its been a busy couple of days for Morgan Scalley and Utah football, who have now named former Ute and Carolina Panther offensive tackle Jordan Gross as their new offensive line coach.
Gross — a consensus All-America selection at Utah and an All-Pro standout in the NFL — returns to Salt Lake City to lead a unit that has been among the nation’s most respected trenches in recent seasons.
“Jordan Gross is not only one of the best offensive tackles to ever play the game, he is also an elite teacher and coach,” Scalley said. “Jordan has had many opportunities to coach over the past several years both at the collegiate and NFL levels and I’m elated that our offer to come home was one he felt he couldn’t turn down.”
From Ute Standout to NFL Elite to Utah OL Coach
Gross’ roots in Utah run deep. At the University of Utah, he was a dominant force on the offensive line, earning consensus All-American honors and multiple first-team accolades in 2002 before entering the NFL as a top pick.
